The team you will be a part of

The Operations / Production team plans, directs and monitors all production activities within an assigned area or unit to maximize the use of the organization's resources and meet established production specifications, schedules and quality standards.

Liaise with functional or operational area managers to understand their current and future product needs and develop plans, cost estimates, and schedules for integrating these needs into existing manufacturing activities.

This role in summary

The Incoming Inspection area within the Supplier Quality & Development structure is responsible for ensuring the quality of all components purchased from external suppliers, both domestic (Brazil) and international.

This is achieved through process audits, continuous improvement initiatives focused on supplier processes, inspection of parts and materials, support to assembly lines, and collaboration with the manufacturing quality team.

The role also involves leading the resolution of supplier-related issues, conducting root cause investigations, and managing all improvement plans, in compliance with the requirements and standards of our management system.

Some of the main challenges of this position are leading the incoming inspection team and implementing continuous improvement projects within the department.

Your responsibilities will include

• Structure the inspection process to effectively detect non-conforming parts during the incoming inspection process.
• Implement improvements in manufacturing processes and suppliers' quality systems in collaboration with the assigned Supplier Quality Engineer.
• Manage product quality control (components) throughout the production process.
• Ensure the execution of audits with suppliers according to the defined schedule.
• Foster collaboration with other departments, such as Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Logistics, to ensure part availability and improve quality indexes.
• Lead improvement initiatives with suppliers to address and correct issues originating from them or non-conformities identified in audits.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs), including PPM, CAL, and Assembly Line Delays.
• Participate in and / or lead monthly performance meetings with critical suppliers.
• Support new project teams by structuring effective control plans and containment plans.
• Ensure that the team adheres to the correct procedures and best practices for the role and department.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with international and critical suppliers.

Minimum requirements

• Completed Higher Education;
• Advanced English;
• Proficiency in FMEA, PPAP, APQP, 8D, CEP, MSA, WCM, PDCA, Ishikawa, 5W2H, JUMP (or Minitab);
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949;
• Experience with statistical tools;
