Sports Business Lead - LATAM, PV Sports

Minimum Requirements :

• 8+ years of account management, business development, content licensing or finance experience;
• 8+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience;
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;
• Knowledge of digital video landscape, including solid understanding of digital video distribution technologies.
• 8+ years working in Sports broadcasting - either on business / rights side and / or production side.

Rare opportunity for an exceptional individual to join Amazon's Prime Video International Sports team, leading the in-life business performance, programming and relationships for our rapidly growing live sports portfolio across Brazil and Latin America.

You will join Amazon's industry-leading global sports team, which is transforming the delivery and experience of watching live sports via streaming, and you will play a key role in building and driving continued excellence in our sports offerings in Brazil and Latin America.

You will bring highly credible experience in live sports, whether on the business / rights side, programming, production and / or technical expertise, and will be able to apply this experience quickly in working with Amazon's existing local teams and partners, including federations, clubs, talent and production partners.

You will show high standards of professionalism and an obsession with the customer experience in order to continually improve Amazon's live sports proposition.

Key Job Responsibilities :

Responsible for in-life performance of sports properties in the region, including : business case goals, course correction and post-event reviews (co-owned with local PV teams);

driving advertising revenues with Amazon Ads; ancillary revenues including commercial premises, social media and news access.

• Define programming, scheduling and match-picking in collaboration with local teams, ensuring wider integrated sports / content integration.
• Work with Amazon global production function to select, hire and manage local production partners and lead on talent selection in collaboration with local teams.
• Manage ongoing external relationships with relevant sports federations, clubs and major talent / ambassadors, and act as spokesperson in-region for the properties, building PV’s local credibility as sports broadcaster.
• Ensure best practice, consistency and economies of scale in how we operate tentpole sports properties globally, working in alignment with other sports leads across EU and US.

About the Team :

The PV Sports International team leads Amazon's live sports offerings on Prime Video worldwide outside US and Canada and is led by Alex Green, based in London.

• This team is responsible for defining the strategy, acquiring rights, and executing the delivery of tentpole sports on Prime Video, which so far include properties such as : UEFA Champions League in UK, Germany and Italy;
• English Premier League in UK, Sweden and Denmark; Roland Garros tennis in France; Wimbledon in Germany and Austria; Copa do Brasil in Brazil;

Chivas in Mexico; ICC cricket in Australia; and boxing and baseball in Japan.
