Solution Architect (Java)

Project Description : An American Investment Bank is enhancing its Regulatory Reporting processes by migrating from their current system to an in-house build solution.

ETL, RDBMS design, and management are among the challenges. Java & Spring are key technologies.

Responsibilities :

• Define Technical & Functional Scope
• Develop Solution Architecture and detailed Designs
• Create a Roadmap & Migration Strategy
• Create detailed Technical Specifications including Integration & Data Mappings
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Act as a hands-on Java Tech Lead developing the solution when the Design phase is complete
• Engage with business stakeholders including Traders, Operations, and Strats to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Ensure solutions adhere to security, compliance, and performance standards
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects
• Document changes necessary to support business

Mandatory Skills Description :

• 10+ years of experience in software development
• 2+ years in an architectural role
• Hands-on experience with Java, including JDK 8+
• Strong proficiency in software architecture design and principles
• Expertise in ETL, SQL, RDBMS design and management
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex systems and recommend appropriate solutions
• Experience in leading distributed teams

High-Load Systems :

• Working with Distributed Applications
• Using Message Brokers (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar)
• Familiarity with Cache / In-Memory Data Grids (Redis, Hazelcast, or similar)
• Enterprise services (including monitoring, state management)
• Expert practitioner of object-oriented techniques
• Solid expertise in concurrency and multithreading
• Spring (including Spring Boot and Spring Boot Actuator)
• Experience with automated testing (TDD, BDD)
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills Description :

• Experience in Regulatory Reporting
• Languages : English : C1 Advanced
