Software Engineer @ Bain

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join Bain’s Advanced Analytics Group (AAG). You will work with AAG members, Bain Generalist Consultants, and our AAG Factory team to build robust software solutions that interact with our Data Science and Machine Learning models to serve our clients’ needs.

Responsibilities :

• Work with consulting teams on short-term projects to develop software solutions.
• Develop and maintain long-lasting products that support internal or client needs.

We work with leading companies innovating with data, often building digital products. In early stages of experimentation, we develop immature digital products as proofs of concept, from deploying microservices with predictive models to implementing new components and A / B testing on production apps with millions of users.

When tests show potential value, we scale them up and help capture that unlocked value.

Who we are looking for :

We seek individuals with strong Software Engineering experience who feel comfortable moving through different types of projects.

Developers should have experience in backend and frontend, providing a software engineering perspective for new product developments.

You should be eager to learn new things and view challenges as fun rather than chores.

Expectations :

• Enjoy learning new programming languages.
• Fluency in one of the following programming languages : Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.
• Experience developing web APIs.
• Experience with a web frontend framework.
• Use Git for versioning and collaboration.
• Experience using cloud platforms - GCP or AWS.
• Coordinate with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers.
• Have 2 or more years of experience.

We want you to be a reference regarding software engineering within a multidisciplinary team. You should feel comfortable at every stage of a project, whether prototyping new ideas, building production software, or continuously improving ongoing products.
