The Work You'll Do :

The primary focus of this role is being part of the ABAP development, debugging and troubleshooting Sovos Tax Determination products in the SAP modules SD, MM & FI-CO.

A successful candidate for this position is expected to work as part of the Sovos product development team. The SAP Solution Engineer is expected to utilize Sovos product knowledge and SAP skills in problem solving, developing new features, keeping and sustaining our products from Product Development perspective.

More specifically, you will :

• Working with Eclipse IDE
• Conversion of Legacy ABAP code into Tier-1 & Tier-2
• Move codes from ABAP Classic to ABAP Cloud
• Maintain and extend the existing code base
• Writing technical documentation
• Develop new features based on client requests
• Collaborate efficiently Sovos global teams across different geolocations
• Ability to work on cases concurrently when required
• Technical experience with on premise, hosted and cloud-based systems.
• Maintain a high level of energy, enthusiasm, engagement and commitment to action
• Demonstrate a high degree of self-awareness and commitment to personal development and learning

What We Need From You :

• Efficient command of the English language
• Confident and comfortable working with large, Fortune 1000 customers
• SAP ABAP Certification C ABAPD 2309 is a plus
• Minimum of 4 years of ABAP development experience with proven knowledge in :
• ABAP Reports and Dialog Programing
• Good ABAP Objects knowledge with at least 5 years’ experience
• Strong knowledge of design patterns
• Profound knowledge of Developer Extensibility
• ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model
• ABAP SQL and code pushdown
• ABAP core data services and data modeling
• Focus on clean & maintainable code
• Able to understand and maintain and extend existing software
• Solid debugging skills
• SAP S / 4 HANA knowledge
• Knowledge in SAP FIORI development will be a great advantage.
• SAP SD, MM & FI knowledge is a Plus
• SAP authorization Objects
• Excellent analysis problem solving skills is a must
• Ability to understand packaged solutions and implement them on SAP
• Great team player and self-learner using available product documentation
