SAP APO Functional Consultant

We are seeking a skilled SAP APO Planning Functional Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in implementing, configuring, and optimizing SAP APO solutions to meet business requirements related to supply chain planning, demand planning, and production planning.

The Role

Key Responsibilities :

• SAP APO Configuration & Implementation :
• Configure and support SAP APO modules including DP (Demand Planning) , SNP (Supply Network Planning) , PP / DS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling) , and GATP (Global Available-to-Promise) .
• Analyze business processes and translate requirements into SAP APO solutions.
• Provide expert guidance on best practices for implementing and optimizing planning processes within SAP APO.
• Business Requirements Gathering :
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define business requirements for APO-related initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and configuration specifications.
• System Design & Testing :
• Lead the design, development, and testing of SAP APO solutions in alignment with business needs.
• Support system integration and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting for end-users.
• Optimization and Continuous Improvement :
• Review and optimize existing APO configurations to enhance system performance, reduce costs, and improve planning accuracy.
• Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to streamline planning processes.
• Training & Support :
• Develop and deliver training sessions to end-users on SAP APO functionality and processes.
• Provide ongoing support for troubleshooting and resolving SAP APO-related issues.
• Collaboration with Other Modules :
• Work closely with SAP MM, SD, PP, and WM consultants to ensure smooth integration and end-to-end process optimization.
• Coordinate with other stakeholders such as IT, business, and external consultants to ensure project success.

Ideal Profile

• Experience :
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with SAP APO, with a focus on planning-related modules (DP, SNP, PP / DS).
• Proven experience in SAP APO implementations and configuration .
• Strong understanding of supply chain planning concepts (demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, production planning, etc.).
• Skills & Expertise :
• Expertise in SAP APO configuration and integration with SAP ECC
• Knowledge of forecasting methods , planning strategies , and optimization algorithms .
• Experience with Global Available-to-Promise (GATP) and integration with other SAP modules (SD, MM, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to design, document, and present complex solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Tools & Technologies :
• Hands-on experience with SAP APO (Demand Planning, Supply Network Planning, PP / DS, GATP).
