Summary :

You will be responsible for the implementation of the data management strategy, execution and support of database engineering solutions for the organization in the Americas (LATAM / US regions).

The ideal candidate should have a very strong technical background, must thrive in fast-paced environments, be able to manage through ambiguity and complexity, invent and simplify processes, and simultaneously support multiple projects.

This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to identify and eliminate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance business needs versus technical constraints.

Maturity, curiosity, creative problem solving, and team leadership are all essential to success in this role.

What Part Will You Play?

• Provides technical direction and support to multiple work teams regarding multiple work components for a database product, platform, or project solving complex or unique database related issues.
• Work initiatives include authorizing and endorsing solution design, problem resolution and management, database maintenance, project requests and system enhancements.
• Implementation and support for the database solutions for both on-premise and cloud environments.
• To be a technical escalation point of contact for the management of project systems issues that require unique database knowledge and specialized experience with multiple components.
• Exercises independent judgment to identify database improvements to address issue resolution.

Minimum Qualifications

• Educated to degree level (e.g. : BSc, MSc, B Tech) in an IT related subject such as Computer Science or MIS
• Several years of direct work experience across a variety of On-prem and Cloud Database technologies to support a strong foundational knowledge of technology best practices.
• Several years of experience developing, deploying, scaling and maintaining Oracle RDBMS databases. A good portion of this experience should come from working in and around cloud-based services.
• Oracle Administration
• Oracle Schema design, SQL, PL / SQL
• Oracle Tuning (OEM, ASH / AWR reports, Workload Repository)
• Oracle Golden Gate
• Oracle RDS
• Experience with core AWS platform architecture. The selected candidate must have strong experience with multiple AWS services : AWS RDS, Lambda, Cloudwatch, AWS KMS, Secrets management, Vault, CloudFormation, SSM, Service Catalogs, etc. for AWS.
• Automation Tools : Python, Terraform, Ansible, Groovy(Jenkins), Helm Charts
• Advanced / Fluent English level (Conversation, Writing and Reading)
