What will I be doing? AsSales Manager, you will analyse local market trends and competitoractivity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader inthe marketplace through the development of future and repeatbusiness.
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing thefollowing tasks to the highest standards : - Analyse local markettrends and competitor activity to identify business leads - Developcustomer accounts and travel within the local area to drivebusiness into the specific hotel / cluster and to increasemarket / customer share in all revenue streams - Negotiate roomrates / packages with corporate clients - Develop and implementcreative local marketing channels, including social media channels- Prepare company contracts for the hotel in accordance withcurrent business and pricing conditions - Work within currentbusiness strategies and recognise potential opportunities -Cooperate with other departments in the hotel to create anexceptional Guest experience and build strong, comprehensive salesprograms - Attend Sales events, as required - Produce accurate andtimely reports that meet the needs of the Sales Director and seniormanagement to include the reporting of appointments, calls made andbusiness leads - Answer customer queries in a prompt andprofessional manner - Manage staff performance in compliance withcompany policies and procedures - Recruit, manage, train anddevelop the Sales team What are we looking for?
