JOB SUMMARY The Buyer Lead will overseethe procurement team, ensuring efficient and effective purchasingprocesses while maintaining high standards of vendor management,cost control, and contract compliance.

This role involves leading ateam of buyers, developing and implementing procurement strategies,and collaborating with various departments to meet organizationalgoals.

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Team Leadership : - Superviseand mentor a team of buyers, providing guidance, training, andperformance evaluations.

Delegate tasks and manage workloaddistribution to optimize team productivity and efficiency. - Fostera collaborative and motivated work environment, encouragingprofessional growth and development.

Strategic Procurement : -Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned withorganizational goals and market conditions.

Identifyopportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplierconsolidation. - Analyse market trends, supplier performance, andindustry developments to inform procurement strategies.

VendorManagement : - Establish and maintain relationships with keysuppliers and vendors. - When required, negotiate terms andconditions, pricing, and contracts to secure favourable agreements.

• Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and ensurecompliance with contractual obligations. Procurement Processes : -Oversee and streamline procurement processes, ensuring adherence tocompany policies and procedures.
• Implement best practices forsourcing and purchasing. - Coordinate with other departments toensure timely and accurate fulfilment of procurement needs.

Reporting and Analysis : - Prepare and present regular reports onprocurement activities, spend analysis, and key performanceindicators (KPIs).

• Analyse procurement data to identify trends,track performance, and drive decision-making. Compliance and RiskManagement : - Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethicalstandards in all procurement activities.

• Provenexperience in negotiating contracts, managing supplierrelationships, and leading procurement teams. - Strong analyticalskills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-drivendecisions.
• Task management and prioritization - Advanced businessand negotiation skills - Intermediate understanding of business lawand contracts - Clear understanding of corporate operational andfinancial controls and the internal / external enforcementmechanisms.
• Basic understanding of Supply Chain process andsupporting tools - General understanding of logistics and shippingmanagement, commercial concerns, operational imperatives anddecision-making with regard to global materials sourcing decisions- Open communication with Procure-2-Pay team and key stakeholdersEDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Requirements - Bachelor’sdegree, preferably in Supply Chain Management - Computer literacy.
• Excellent interpersonal skills. - Able to work independently andas a team player. - Proficient in verbal and written Englishlanguage skills.
